Wanda R. Fawcett, 92, of Ipava died at 10:20 p.m. May 17, 2025.
She was born Oct. 28, 1932, in Lewistown, a daughter of Willis Edward and Letha Mae Berry Cooper. She married Delbert “Bud” Fawcett on Dec. 11, 1948, in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2014.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Joe Fawcett; two grandsons, Christopher Fawcett and James Cercone; one great-granddaughter, Sawyer Ruth Fawcett; two sisters, Wenoa Jean Hadsall and Carlette Patricia Seward; and one brother, William Clifford Cooper.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Fawcett (and Jaime) Cercone of Lewistown and Barbara Jones of Macomb; two sons, Bill Fawcett and Ben (and Gretchen) Fawcett, both of Ipava; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She worked for the Lewistown Locker and for Clarytona Manor Nursing Home, both in Lewistown and then worked in the Gift Shop at Dickson Mounds Museum from which she retired in 2003.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Kevin Kessler officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery, Table Grove.
Memorials in Wanda’s memory may be made to the Ipava American Legion Auxiliary.
