Rex Fouts

Rex W. Fouts, 65, of Ipava died at 9:35 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2003, at his residence.

He was born April 21, 1938, in Galesburg, a son of Minor Jack and Hattie Eileen Webb Fouts. He married Anna Welker on Jan. 28, 1957, in Palmyra, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Rex Jr. (and Suzanne) and David (and Susan), both of Ipava, and Jackie (and Gina) of Canton; four daughters, Anita (and Steve) Duckwiler and Cindy (and Craig) Porter, both of Ipava, Ella (and Mike) Harper of Dunfermline and Joyce Norville of Prairie City; one brother, Andrew of Lewistown; two sisters, Mildred West of Urbana, Ohio, and Dorothy Green of Macomb; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

He had been an operator at Amax Coal.

He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 748 in Canton and Lewistown Masonic Lodge 104.

He was of the Christian faith.

Services were held Tuesday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. Kevin Kessler officiating. Burial was in Maryville Cemetery in Bryant.

Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
