Anita DuckwilerAnita Marie Duckwiler, 64, of Ipava died at 2:30 a.m. Dec. 24, 2021, at her home.

She was born Aug. 27, 1957, in Canton, a daughter of Rex Wayne and Anna Maye Welker Fouts. She married Steve Duckwiler on June 26, 1976, in Summum. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Julianna Duckwiler of Ipava; two sisters, Cindy (and Craig) Porter and Joyce Fouts-Norville, both of Ipava; and three brothers, Rex (and Suzanne) Fouts and Dave (and Susan) Fouts, both of Ipava, and Jack (and Dacia) Fouts of Canton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joni Johnson; one sister, Ella Harper; and her parents.

She worked in home health care. She was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church where she was a youth group leader for many years and camp counselor at Camp Pyoca in Jackson County, Ind. She also was a Lay leader for the Walk to Emmaus and a former Girl Scout leader.

Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Kevin Kessler officiating.

Memorials may be made in Anita’s memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
