Caryl L. Flynn, 83, of Mount Carmel, formerly of Vermont, died at 10:37 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel.
She was born Aug. 31, 1916, in Bushnell, a daughter of Lewis and Mary Ann Hood Wheeler. She married Leonard M. Flynn on June 5, 1934, in Macomb. He died Oct. 16, 1995.
One son, Charley; one grandson; one great-grandson; three brothers; and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are four daughters, Shirley (and Eugene) Keithley of Fairview, Jane (and Robert) Wright of Mount Carmel, Linda (and Eugene) McCarty of Chester and Joyce Cook of Canton; two sisters, Zelpha Oaks of Geneseo and Ruthie Kitch of Brunswick, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was a member of Parkview Christian Church in Mount Carmel.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Tim Worstell officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
