Verna M. France Of Astoria Dies

Mrs. Verna M. France, 80, of Astoria died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 1984, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Rushville.

She was born April 24, 1904, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, the daughter of Franklin and Elizabeth (Obert) Brillhart. She married Glenn D. France Aug. 25, 1925. He died Sept. 14, 1977.

Other survivors include two sons, Willis and Willard France, both of Astoria; one daughter, Mrs. Victor (Dorothy) Danner of Littleton, Colo.; one sister, Rosa Conner of Astoria; one brother, Galen Brillhart of Astoria; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two infant sisters.

She was a member of the Astoria United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Bruce W. Bolin-Ghitalla officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
