Former Ipavian Dies At His Home In Peoria

Dwight Ebbert, 65, of Peoria, formerly of Ipava, died Thursday morning at his home in that city. He was a brother of Charles and Glenn Ebbert of Macomb. He had been ill since August, 1951.

He was born Aug. 23, 1889 at Ipava, a son of Frank and Emma Brockley Ebbert, and lived in that community most of his life before moving to Peoria in 1944.

He was a retired carpenter. On Sept. 14, 1912 he married Vera Gorsuch, who survives with a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Ladda of Pekin, a son, Emory E. Ebbert of Elgin, four grandchildren and the two brothers.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ipava Christian church and burial was in Ipava cemetery.
