Anna DannerAnna Danner, 100, of Astoria died at 7:05 a.m. Dec. 30, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Bloomington.

She was born March 7, 1914, in Sangamon County, a daughter of John B. and Barbara Fahs Werner. She married Harold Devere Danner on April 29, 1939, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1969.

She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Amelia Stambaugh, Rosalee Wickert and infant Dorothy Werner; one brother, Maurice Werner; and one infant granddaughter.

Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy Veitengruber and Shirley Danner, both of Bloomington, and Beverly Stuckwisch of Industry; one sister, Esther Bowser of Elkton, Md.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She moved to Fulton County when she was age 7. She graduated from Astoria High School in 1932. She worked as a domestic for more than 30 families. She was a seed sorter at Mummert Seed Company in Astoria and worked at Astoria Locker Plant.

She was a member of Woodland Church of the Brethren.

She was president of Sunshine Club and South Fulton Senior Citizens Group in Astoria. She also was a member of Woodland Cemetery Board.

Services were held Sunday at her church with Pastor Kevin Kessler and Pastor Gary Yoder officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Astoria. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
