Carter Danner, 89, of Macomb, formerly of Astoria, died at 7:25 a.m. July 16, 2014, at the Elms in Macomb.
He was born Jan. 29, 1925, a son of Keith R. “Buck” and Mary Elizabeth Carter Danner. He married Elaine Kersh Morey on Jan. 29, 1973, in Rushville. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2004.
He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy and Kay Danner; and two brothers, Ronald Danner and Rodney Danner.
Surviving are one son, James (and Sheila) Morey of Mohawk, N.Y.; one sister, Patricia Heaton of Vermont; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He farmed and worked at Bader and Company grain elevators for over 25 years.
Graveside services were held Monday at Astoria Cemetery with Pastor Doug Krukewitt officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
