Virginia M. DeMott, 85, of Vermont died at 7:25 p.m. June 1, 2014, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born Feb. 19, 1929, in Youngstown, the daughter of George and Nora Taylor Wolf. She married Harold A. DeMott on Nov. 17, 1947. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1998.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Harold DeMott; and one brother, Loren Wolf.
Surviving are three daughters, Marilyn (and Ed) Bohm of Vermont, Carolyn (and Rick) Beaird of Austin, Texas, and Lisa (and Larry) Kendrick of Vermont; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was a custodian at VIT High School and a member of Berean Christian Church in Ipava.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Berean Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Doug Krukewitt officiating. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
