Margaret E. Danner, 86, of Astoria died at 7:40 a.m. May 12, 2013, at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield.
She was born Jan. 25, 1927, in Astoria, a daughter of Joseph Dennis and Bertha Wardell Davis. She married Willis George Danner on Nov. 11, 1945, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1990.
She also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carol Kay Danner; five sisters, Ruby Scrogum, Beatrice Parry, Geneva Brewer, Josephene Behnke and Gladys Danner; and five brothers, Orville, Cecil, Whitney, Wayne and Harold Davis.
Surviving are one son, Jack (and Lynn) Danner of Bloomington; one daughter, Georgiana (and Alan) Clemens of Astoria; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was a waitress at Subway in Astoria. She then worked as custodian at Astoria Fibra-Steel.
She was a member of Astoria Christian Church and Astoria American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Astoria Cemetery with Gary Sheets officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
