She was born Oct. 24, 1949, in Rushville, a daughter of Warren "Bill" and Donna Pryor Severns. She married Ted Dodds on June 8, 1968, in Beardstown. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Jodie (and Teri Jo) Dodds of Jacksonville; one brother, David (and Linda) Severns of Browning; one sister, Marilyn (and Lee) McGee of Hannibal, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, Holly Kay Dodds and Jason Frederick Dodds.
She attended Frederick Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
She was a part-time custodian at Schuyler County Courthouse.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville. Inurnment will be in Messerer Cemetery at a later date.
