[Laura's note: His tombstone reads "William E. Severns" while his WWII draft card — that he signed — clearly lists "Warren E. Severns". In addition, two of his children's obits list "Warren". On the other hand, his wife Donna's obit lists "William". Even though Bill is normally short for William, I am more inclined to believe his own signature rather than a tombstone set up by someone else. It is possible he preferred "William" to "Warren" but that's another story. I won't commit one way or the other here but wanted to point out the possible discrepancies.]
