She was born Feb. 2, 1919, in Pleasant View, a daughter of Charles and Maude Brubeck Nelson. She married Maurice W. Davis on Feb. 20, 1937, in Rushville. He died Dec. 26, 1994.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Pat Maxwell; one son, Charles “Dick” (and Marna) Davis; one granddaughter, Julie Frank; one brother, Burt Nelson; and three sisters, Inez Nelson, Gladys Murk and Thelma Wubker.
Surviving are one daughter, Carol Sue (and Ronnie) Greer of Littleton; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She worked for Dennis Hatchery in Augusta, the former A and P Grocery Store and Bartlow Brothers, both in Rushville. After retirement, she volunteered at the HELP Center in Rushville.
She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rushville.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. John Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to her church, Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home Activity Fund or Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
