Floyd Danner Of Canton Dies

Mrs. Christene Danner of Astoria received word Monday of the death of her brother-in-law, Floyd Danner of Canton. Mr. Danner died at 5:25 a.m. in Graham Hospital. He was a former Astoria resident.

He was born July 21, 1888, in Pleasant Township, to Jess L. and Rebeccah (Lindsey) Danner, and on Dec. 2, 1908, in Lewistown, he was married to Viola Brecker. She died Nov. 18, 1961.

Surviving are two sons, Richard F. Danner of Peoria and Eugene Danner of Canton; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Carpenter of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Marjorie Peters of Canton, and Mrs. Alice Stevenor of Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Matilda Demaree of Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Phyliss Kost of Clearwater, Fla. Two brothers and one sister died earlier.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the First Christian Church at Canton with Rev. Darrell Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Summum Cemetery.
