Linda M. Hummer Conley, 82, formerly of New London, Mo., died at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 30, 2022, at The Elms in Macomb.
She was born Feb. 22, 1940, in Sterling, a daughter of Henry F. and Lillie M. Ames Hummer. She married Richard L. Conley on June 25, 1975, in Mount Sterling. He preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1989.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Hummer and Rose Hummer Gamm; and one brother, in infancy.
Surviving are one son, Robert L. Conley; two sisters, Janet S. Desideri of Lisle and Wilma Fitch of Bushnell; and grandchildren.
She attended school in Summum and Astoria and received her GED from American School in Chicago. She attended Gem City College for a bookkeeping course. She was a nanny and caregiver. She worked for car dealerships in Quincy and was a vehicle Deal Administrator for Bob Brockland Pontiac in Cahokia for 25 years.
Graveside services were held Sept. 2 with James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, Mo., in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Grandview Burial Park in Hannibal.
