Hallie Juanita Crenshaw, 87, of Jacksonville died Feb. 6, 2010, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

She was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Vinita, Okla., a daughter of Thomas L. and Venia Chute Hendricks. She married Leo L. Crenshaw on Dec. 16, 1940. He preceded her in death.

She also was preceded in death by five brothers, Quentin Hendricks, Lyndle Hendricks, Chester Hendricks, Archie Hendricks and Marlin Hendricks; and five sisters, Faye Gossage, Neva Hayes, Virginia Crenshaw, Verona Crenshaw and Elna Hendricks.

Surviving are five sons, Larry (and Jarice) Crenshaw and Richard (and Gloria) Crenshaw, both of Jacksonville, Dan (and Della) Crenshaw of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Robert Crenshaw of Trenton, Ga., and Scott (and Nyssa) Crenshaw of Springfield; three daughters, Judy (and Michael) Smith of Rushville, Alice Johnson of Phoenix and Darlene (and Glenn) McMurl of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; one brother, Melvin (and Marilyn) Hendricks of Rushville; one sister, Nina Merrill of Astoria; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of The Lord’s Congregation in Jacksonville.

Services were held Feb. 10 at Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Diamond Grove Cemetery.
