Verona Crenshaw

Verona L. Crenshaw, 72, of Bader died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at her residence.

She was born July 24, 1930, in Ray, a daughter of Tom and Venia Chute Hendricks. She married Denver Crenshaw on Jan. 17, 1947, in Ray. He died Jan. 8, 1978.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are three sons, Raymond (and Georgianna), Jim (and Barbara) and Bill, all of Bader; one daughter, Cheryl (and Mike) Frank of Beardstown; four brothers, Lyndle (and Betty) Hendricks of Carbon Cliff, Marlin (and Inez) Hendricks of Fort Towson, Okla., and Quentin Hendricks and Melvin (and Marilyn) Hendricks, both of Rushville; two sisters, Nina (and Roy) Merrill of Astoria and Juanita Crenshaw of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday at Astoria Assembly of God Church in Astoria with Rev. Reggie Stambaugh officiating. Burial was in Langford Cemetery in Schuyler County. Sager Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
