Ambrose Corman

Ambrose Martin Corman, 81, of Nacogdoches, Texas, formerly of Rushville, died at 2:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 1998, at the Medical Center Hospital in Nacogdoches.

He was born May 30, 1917, in Galesburg, a son of Elmo Byron and Maggie Harrah Gilruth Corman.

Surviving are two sons, Gary Corman of Kelso, Wash., and Les Corman of Nacogdoches; four daughters, Terry Briggs of Ashland, Sharon Ratcliff of Kilbourne, Julie Anderson of Springfield, Ohio, and Joyce Barnes of Champaign; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Corman of Jefferson City, Mo.; three sisters, Helen Blue of Astoria, Mary Daniels of Havana and Maggie Schaefer of Houston, Texas.

He was a farmer.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Rushville City Cemetery with Father Robert Reynolds officiating. There will be no visitation. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
