Funeral services for Ruby M. Curless, 66, of Peoria, who was pronounced dead at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 1991, in the emergency room at Saint Francis Medical Center, were held Monday at Wilton Mortuary with Rev. Robert Brackley officiating. Burial was in Lutheran Cemetery.
Mrs. Curless died from injuries suffered in a two-car accident near Hanna City.
She was born Apr. 4, 1925 in Peoria County, a daughter of Cecil D. and Flossie Mae Belk Simmons. She married Ted K. Curless on Sept. 15, 1945, in Peoria.
He survives along with her stepmother, Ruth Simmons of Tampa, Fla.; one daughter, Marsha Craven of Pekin; two sons, Larry R. and Randy D., both of Peoria; one sister, Judy Sample of Chillicothe; two brothers, Richard D. Simmons and Ronald L. Simmons, both of Peoria; four grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. She was a sister-in-law of John Curless of Astoria.
One daughter, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
Memorials may be made to the Hanna City Fire and Rescue Squad.
