Jack C. Curless Dies At Age 59

Jack C. Curless, 59, of Tinley Park, formerly of Table Grove, died Monday, May 14, 1990, in Tingley Park.

He was born Feb. 22, 1931, in Bluff City, a son of Verne and Dorothy Camp Curless. He married Gloria Thompson on Dec. 24, 1956. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Table Grove; one daughter, Mrs. Jodi Curless Martin of Homewood; one son, Jack of Steger; one sister, Mrs. Joan Shawgo of Galesburg; and one brother, Jerry of West Palm Beach, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He was the retired superintendent of District 205, which included Thornton, Thornridge and Thornwood High Schools. He was a member of numerous educational organizations.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Drum Funeral Home in Tingley Park with Rev. James Uttley officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 10 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Harris Cemetery in Table Grove. Kost Memorial Home in Vermont is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Olive Branch or First United Presbyterian Church in Dyer, Ind.
