He was born May 14, 1957, in Rushville, a son of Morris and Ethel Sipes Busby. He married Tina Pratt on Nov. 17, 1984, in Havana. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Christopher (and Erica) Busby of Six Mile, S.C., and Josh Pratt and Cody (and Cassie) Busby, both of Table Grove; one daughter, Amanda Pratt of Canton; seven sisters, Marsha (and Lindell) Himmel of Forest City, Nancy Gilson of Canton, Pamela Shaw of Lewistown, Julie Anderson of Springfield, Ohio, Joyce Barnes of Champaign, Sharon (and Mike) Ratcliff of Browning and Terry (and Tom) Briggs of Philadelphia, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Ella Mae Busby; one sister, Deborah Sheets; three brothers, Edward Busby, Gary Corman and Lesley Corman; and one grandchild, Coen Kochevar.
He was a mechanic and was always working with his hands. He also worked construction and was a member of the Laborers Union.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to a fund for Mike’s grandchildren, in care of the Table Grove State Bank.
