He was born June 28, 1961, in Rushville, a son of William H. and Lola J. Danner Bowman. He married Wanda J. Bell on Aug. 11, 1979, in Rushville. She survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Melissa (and Chris Werland) Havens of Prairie City, Jessica (and Brett) Bowman-Burgess of Fairfield, Utah, and Jennifer (and Josh) Bowman-Ginger and Nicole Bowman, both of Table Grove; two sons, Jeremy (and Katie) Bowman of Table Grove and Justin (and Sasha) Bowman of Astoria; two sisters, Tammy Bowman of Astoria and Pam Bowman of Browning; one brother, William “Billy” (and Tina) Bowman of Champaign; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Xena Hoerr and Izzy Lopez.
He worked for the VIT School District for many years in various jobs, including maintenance director and bus driver.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
