Rose Ann Bagniefski, 84, of La Crosse died Dec. 4, 2016, at Bethany On Cass Assisted Living Facility.
She was born Sept. 15, 1932, in Hennessey, Okla., a daughter of John and Emma Rothermal Mirkes. She married Donald A. Bagniefski on March 17, 1954, in Hennessey. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Marcus; and two brothers, Nick and John Mirkes.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (and Jim) Jaekel of Stoddard, Wis., and Janet (and Mike) Betting of Burnsville, Minn.; one son, Andrew (and Beth Eldred) Bagniefski of Shepherdsville, Ky.; two sisters, Rita O’Hern of Macomb and Lucy Turner of Huntsville, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She had worked for 15 years for the National Food Store of La Crosse as both a cashier and a bookkeeper. She also was active in the St. Ann’s Altar Society at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Funeral services were held Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in La Crosse with Rev. Rick Roberts officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Dodsworth Piper Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
