Lanny BurgardLanny BurgardLanny R. Burgard, 62, of Gardiner, Mont., formerly of Ipava, died at 12:45 p.m. May 3, 2010, at Billings Clinic in Billings, Mont.
He was born June 30, 1947, in Canton, a son of Harold and Nelda Smith Burgard. He married Diane King on July 9, 1979, in Billings. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Jessica (and Eric Gray) Burgard of Bozeman, Mont.; two brothers, John (and Rose) Burgard and Robert (and Sarah Dress) Burgard, both of Ipava; three sisters, Lois Gorsage of Lewistown, Luann (and Lowell) Davis of London Mills and Becky (and Don) Heller of Table Grove; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a United States Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
He and his wife, Diane, were the owners/operators of Burgard Construction Inc. in Gardiner.
He graduated from VIT High School.
He was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at his church with Rev. Danie DeBeer officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday at his church. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
