Lela L. Belville, 86, of Astoria died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at Astoria Gardens & Rehab Center.
She was born Sept. 4, 1917, in Browning Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of George C. and Florence Justus Stroops. She married Clifford Belville on March 15, 1938, in Palmyra, Mo. He died May 12, 2000.
She also was preceded in death by five brothers, Carl, Harry, Earl, Ansel and Bert Stroops; two sisters, Alma Sayers and Bessie Robertson; and one grandson.
Surviving are two sons, Herschel (and Sheila) of Lewistown and Harold (and Joyce) of Astoria; two grandsons; and five grandchildren.
She was a member of Fulton County Home Extension.
She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Astoria.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Clifford Parry officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeville Cemetery in Browning.
