FAITH D. (STAMBAUGH) BLAIR

Faith Blair

Faith D. Blair, 82, of London died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at 1:15 p.m. at the Madison House, London.

She was born Aug. 28, 1918, in Astoria, a daughter of George and Fannie Bucher Stambaugh. She married Charles "Chuck" Blair on April 5, 1942. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Nancy (and Richard) Kurtz of Granville and Georgia (and Kerry) Fout of London; two sons, Steve (and Lois) Blair of London and Tim (and Debbie) Blair of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mabel Bowman and Georgia Lee Page, both of Astoria.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Clara, Beula, Verna, Esther and Naomi; and one brother, Mark.

She attended the Center Street Church of Christ in Christian Union.

She was a member of the Madison County Historical Society, the Madison County Senior Citizens, the Oak Run Grange and the Madisonia Rebekah Lodge #725 London.

She had been a 4-H advisor for many years. She was very active in the Natural Colored Wool Association and was a self-taught wool spinner.

She and her husband owned and operated the Dairy Delite in London for 15 years.
Services were held Monday at the Rader-Lynch and Dodds Funeral Home in London with Rev. Delbert Kettering officiating. Burial was in Kirkwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Local Chapter.
