Georgia L. Page, 91, of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Springfield, Gibson City and Cambridge, died May 21, 2012, in North Carolina.

She was born Sept. 21, 1920, in Pleasant Township, a daughter of George and Fannie Bucher Stambaugh. She married Warren Page on Dec. 28, 1941, in Fulton County. He preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 2009.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers and eight sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Warren L. (and Janet) Page of Snellville, Ga., and Jay P. (and Jill) Page of Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Mabel Bowman of Canton; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She graduated with a bachelors in education from Western Illinois University in 1941, and with a masters in special education from University of Illinois in 1966.

She worked as a teacher for Gibson City School District for 19 years.

She was a seamstress.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Springfield and Delta Gamma Society.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen St., Springfield, IL 62703, with Dr. Hugh Reynolds officiating. A memorial gathering will take place from 2 p.m. until the time of services.
