Harold L. Burgess, age 52, of Ipava, formerly of St. David, died at 8:42 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, at Graham Hospital Extended Care Unit.
He was born Jan. 4, 1945, in Fulton County, a son of Cecil L. and Zelma Louise Vaughn Burgess. He married Carolyn Ruffato in March 1996 in Canton.
Surviving are his mother of Ipava; two sons, Dennis L. Burgess and Harold L. “Junior” Burgess, both of St. David; one daughter, Mrs. Curtis (Dixie) Malott of St. David; one granddaughter, Haley Fouts of St. David; one brother, Raymond Burgess of Cuba; and three sisters, Mary Bailey of Bath, Nancy Howell and Alice Colston, both of Ipava.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He worked for 19 years as a mechanic for Star Delivery and most recently at the maintenance dept. at Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club at rural Cuba.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Rev. Barbara Short officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to Spoon River Hospice of Graham Hospital in Canton.
Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
