PEARL M. (WEESE) BABCOCK

Pearl Babcock

Pearl M. Babcock, 99, of Elms Nursing Home in Macomb, formerly of Ipava, died at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, June 18, 1995, at the home.

She was born Dec. 21, 1895, in Pleasant Township, Fulton County, a daughter of James Addison and Hannah Lindsey Weese. She married Frank Babcock on Jan. 29, 1920, in Havana. He died July 8, 1975. One grandson, one infant brother and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Everette (Genevieve) France of Carthage and Mrs. Eldon (Rosemary) Beck of Macomb; one brother John Oliver Fike of Columbia, Mo.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

She was a postal clerk for the Ipava Post Office. She also was a grocery clerk. She was a 50-year member of Ipava Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 226. She was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. Dwight K. Lackey officiating. Entombment was in Ipava Mausoleum.
