Genevieve France, 100, of Macomb died at 10:28 a.m. Feb. 9, 2023, at Macomb Post Acute Care Center in Macomb.
She was born June 30, 1922, in Ipava, a daughter of Frank and Pearl Weese Babcock. She married Everett France in 1946. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Frank France; and one sister, Rosemary Beck.
Survivng are one daughter, Susan (and Dale) Ertzinger of Muskegon, Mich.; two grandchildren, Matthew Ertzinger of Grand Haven, Mich., and Sarah Farrand of Grand Ledge, Mich.; and five great-grandchildren.
She lived most of her life in the Ipava area and later lived in Carthage on the farm. She lived in Macomb the last 15 years. She was a member of Ipava First Presbyterian Church and was an Elementary School Teacher at VIT School District for many years.
Private graveside services will be held at the Ipava Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
