ERMA PAULINE (MARKLEY) BOYD

Erma Boyd

Erma Boyd, 86, of Browning died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 1995, at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Dec. 13, 1908, in Fulton County, a daughter of Deloss and Minnie Farwell Markley. She married Arthur Lewis Boyd on Dec. 18, 1926, in Rushville. He died May 26, 1994. One son, Teddy, and one daughter, Anna Mae Knous, also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, John of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. John (Mary Lou) Stambaugh of Browning and Mrs. Floyd (Jane) Ray of Washington; two brothers, Dale Markley of Canton and Wilbert Markley of Lewistown; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was a coordinator of the Browning Senior Citizens Center for more than 10 years.

She was a member of Browning United Methodist Church, where services were held Sunday with Rev. William Hesseldenz officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church or to Culbertson Memorial Long Term Care.

Wood-Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
