Miss Merle Olive Bucher, 55, a lifetime Astoria resident, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 1973, at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville where she had been a patient since March.
She was born on Feb. 28, 1918, in Woodland Township, a daughter of Cyrus G. and Mabel B. Miller Bucher.
Miss Bucher was a member of the Astoria Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include one brother, Sherman Bucher of Astoria; and two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Keim of Metamora and Mrs. Mildred Foutch of Astoria. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon at the Astoria Church of the Brethren with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in the Woodland Cemetery.
