Eunice Keim

Eunice Bucher Keim, 91, of Metamora died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Snyder Village.

She was born June 15, 1912, in Astoria, a daughter of Cyrus and Mable Miller Bucher. She married Carl D. Schmitt on June 15, 1933, in Canton. He died Nov. 26, 1961.

She married Howard H. Keim Jr. on Dec. 19, 1970, in Metamora. He died Jan. 18, 1999.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Surviving are one daughter, Dorothy "Dotty" (and Don) Evans of Mossville; four stepdaughters, Rowan Daggett of Leesburg, Ind., Nancy Lengel of McPherson, Kan., Lois Keim of Michigan City, Ind., and Julia Smith of New Buffalo, Mich.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred "Mid" Foutch of Astoria.

She worked for PJS Publications, retiring in 1970.

She was a member of Church of the Brethren in Peoria.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Her body was donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. Arrangements are by Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel.
