Minnie ArnoldMinnie O. Dupoy Arnold, 85, of Rushville died at 1:45 a.m. Nov. 1, 2008, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

She was born Sept. 16, 1923, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Glenn B. and Velma Fretueg Stivers. She first married Ernest Charles Dupoy. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1958. She later married Billy Arnold on Dec. 11, 1991, in Rushville. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Charles (and Judy) Dupoy and Gary Dupoy, both of Rushville; one brother, Richard “Dick” Stivers of Rushville; two sisters, Louise Davis McMillan of Wheat Ridge, Colo., and Margurite Smith of Rushville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Jacob Dupoy; three sisters, Juanita Stivers, Sophia Irwin and Mary Ann Tucker; and one infant brother.

She was a homemaker and baker at Ping’s Pantry in Rushville for over 25 years, retiring in 1981. She later cared for her parents.

She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Rushville.

Services were held Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
