Harley D. Atwater, 90, of Ipava, died at 2:47 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 1995, at Prairieview Care Center in Lewistown.
He was born Dec. 3, 1904, in Ipava, a son of Burleigh and Della Gilson Atwater. He married Margaret Ashton on Nov. 4, 1929, in Ipava. She died Feb. 6, 1985. He also was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are four sons, Arlan Atwater of Macomb, Robert Atwater of Lewistown and Terry Atwater and Jerry Atwater, both of Ipava; one daughter, Marilee Casper of Canton; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Orley Atwater and Dwight Atwater, both of Ipava; and one sister, Wilmadean Sears of Astoria.
He was employed by the village of Ipava for 30 years.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. Dennis Knotts officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the memorial home. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery.
