Terry G. Atwater, 55, of Ipava died at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born Feb. 7, 1946, in Canton, a son of Harley Dean and Margaret Ashton Atwater. He married Sally Jo Bulmer on Dec. 28, 1968, in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Sheila (and Guy) Huston of Macomb and Ketra Atwater of Ipava; three brothers, Arlan of Camargo, Robert (and Karen) of Lewistown and Jerry of Ipava; one sister, Marilee Casper of Canton; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
He was the water superintendent for the City of Ipava for 31 years.
He was a member of Ipava Masonic Lodge 213, AF&AM; Ipava Sons of the American Legion; and Ipava Truckers Association.
He also was a member of Ipava Christian Church.
He was a former member of Ipava Fire Dept.
Services were held Saturday at Berean Christian Church in Ipava with Revs. Kevin Kessler and Damien Spikereit officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
