Wilmadean Sears

Wilmadean I. Sears, 80, of Astoria, formerly of Ipava, died at 10:35 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, at Astoria Healthcare Center.

She was born April 23, 1918, in Bernadotte Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Burleigh and Della Gilson Atwater. She married Gerald Sears.

Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Nancy Sears of Ipava; two brothers, Orley Atwater of Mount Sterling and Dwight Atwater of Ipava; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

One son, Ronny, four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

She took care of several elderly people. She was a member of Ipava Christian Church and Ipava American Legion Auxiliary and was a Gold Star sister.

Services were held this morning at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. Damien Spikereit officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church or Ipava American Legion Auxiliary.
