Mary E. Zeisler Of Rushville Dies

Mary Ellen Zeisler, 71, of Rushville, died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 1990, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

She was born Nov. 27, 1919, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Benjamin and Goldie Evans Young. She married Frederick W. Zeisler on Oct. 15, 1938, in Palmyra, Mo. He died April 18, 1968.

She also was preceded in death by one brother.

Surviving are four sons, Karl, Dean and Dale, all of Rushville, and Bill of Princeton, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Sondra) Smith of Astoria; 14 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 11 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Young of Rushville and John Young of Ripley; and five sisters, Lois Gossage, Ruth Lashbrook and Mrs. Clifford (Louise) Zeisler, all of Rushville, Annabelle Young of Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Glen (Frances) Faxon of Palmyra.

A nurse’s aide, she retired from Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven in 1981.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Roby Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Rouse officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Foundation or Parkinson Disease Research.
