She was born May 19, 1943, in Liverpool, the daughter of Fred and Mary Young Zeisler. She married Don Smith on June 30, 1961, in Rushville. He survives.
Also surviving are two children, Tammy (and David) Meyer of Rushville and Jeff Smith of Astoria; and three brothers, Bill (and Debbie) Zeisler of Princeton, Ind., and Dean (and Phylis) Zeisler and Dale (and Linda) Zeisler, both of Rushville.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Karl Zeisler.
She worked at Hornsby’s in El Paso and Havana. She was owner and operator of Don’s Variety in Astoria. She also worked in the Astoria School’s cafeteria in Astoria.
She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Astoria where she served as head greeter with her husband Don and was active in Women’s Fellowship. She was an Election Judge in Astoria for over 20 years.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Ben Murray officiating. Burial will be held in the Christian Neck Cemetery in Rushville.
