She was born Dec. 26, 1932, in Astoria, a daughter of Hartford and Melba Etter Curless. She married Robert L. Young on Feb. 14, 1976, in Rushville. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Dr. Rick (and Debra) Schisler of Chandler, Ariz.; one stepson, Robert (and Viola) Young Jr.; one stepdaughter, Pam (and Dennis) Watts; one sister, Norma Smith of Rushville; one niece; and one grandchild.
She graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1950. She was a secretary at the Rushville Grade School for many years.
A private funeral service will be held with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial will be at Rushville City Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate Peggy’s Life will be held at a later date. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
