She was born Sept. 9, 1933, in Bluff City, the daughter of Leonard and Maye Carter Stambaugh. She married Robert E. Winner on Nov. 1, 1951, in St. Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 2011.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Howard Stambaugh.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (and Scott) Harris of Browning and Karen (and Gary Smith) Lowe of Glasford; two sons, Aaron (and Laura) Winner and Alvin (and Hannah Esther) Winner, both of Rushville; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was owner and operator of Browning Shell for several years. She then worked at The Elks Club in Beardstown, and later became a CNA, working for Myers Nursing Home in Beardstown and later in home healthcare.
She was a member of Sheldons Grove United Methodist Church.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Sheldons Grove Cemetery in Browning. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
