He was born July 14, 1932, in Sheldons Grove, a son of Edward and Dorothy Workman Winston. He married Betty Weishaar on April 21, 1951, in Beardstown. She preceded him in death on Aug. 22, 2018.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and John “Bill” Winston; and one sister, Beverly Burgard.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Winston of Rushville and Christy (and John) Chubick of Bloomington; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was a farmer for 56 years.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Charla Meyers officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.
