Dale WellsDale A. Wells, 74, of Rushville died at 8:35 a.m. Feb. 16, 2017, at Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born July 26, 1942, in Rushville, a son of George Arthur and Hazel Marie Ogden Wells. He married Bonnie Bates on June 12, 1970, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Gordon (and fiancée Julie Springer) Wells of Tallula and Rick Gordley of Victoria, B.C. Canada; three daughters, Mindy (and Brent) Krumboltz and Terri (and Tom) Cooper, both of Beardstown, and Lori Wells Cates of Tallula; two sisters, Marilyn A. (and Larry) Lafary of Marquette Heights and Janice S. (and Charles) Grady of Denver, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Willis Wells; and one sister, Norma Wells Kenney.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving overseas in Germany.

He owned and operated Wells Construction over 40 years and was a licensed Real Estate Broker. He was a member of Schuyler American Legion Post #4 for over 50 years. He also was a member of Moose Lodge #506 and Beardstown Elks BPOE #1007.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Richard Young officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery with Military honors by a U.S. Army Honors Detail and Schuyler American Legion Post #4.
