George A. Wells Of Rushville Dies

George Arthur Wells, 83, of 147 E. Lafayette St., Rushville, died suddenly Thursday afternoon at Culbertson Hospital where he was being admitted as a patient.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Harold Hedden officiating. Burial was in Littleton Cemetery.

He was born May 2, 1887, at Littleton, the son of Wheeler and Ellen Robertson Wells. He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are his widow, the former Hazel Ogden; two sons, Willis of Baltimore, Md. and Dale of Rushville; three daughters, Mrs. Norma Kenney of Stoneham, Mass., Mrs. Marilyn Lafary of East Peoria and Miss Janice Wells of Rushville; one sister, Mrs. Mary Runkle of Littleton; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
