DONALD “WICK” WINDSOR

Donald "Wick" Windsor, 81, of Astoria died at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 11, 2013, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born June 22, 1932, in St. David, a son of William and Helen Courtney Windsor. He married Patsy Ann Derry on Nov. 10, 1955, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Donnie (and Linda) Windsor of Table Grove and Dan (and Sheila LaLonde) Windsor of Carbondale, Kan.; one daughter, Monica Wys of Astoria; one brother, Albert (and Lois) Windsor of Smithfield; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Harold Windsor; and one sister, Lula Belle Stufflebeam.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a laborer for Illinois State Conservation Department, former road commissioner for Woodland Township in Fulton County for eight years and custodian for Astoria School District.

He was a member of Astoria American Legion Post #25.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Reverend Ken Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
