Lucy E. Ward, 77, of Astoria died at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at Prairieview Care Center in Lewistown.
She was born March 22, 1923, in Farmers Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Emmett and Bessie Lawver Lafary. She married Dale M. Ward on Aug. 29, 1940, in Fort Madison, Iowa. He died June 23, 1995.
She also was preceded in death by one sister.
Surviving are four sons, Ronald (and Linda) of Cuba, Gary (and Diana) of Bushnell, and Larry (and Debra) and Dennis, both of Lewistown; four daughters, Donna (and Duane) Loudenburg of Bradford, Sharon (and Wally) Hammond of Canton, Frances Weaver of Sterling and Karen (and Fred) Smith of West York; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
Graveside services were held Sunday at Randall Cemetery in Bernadotte with Collis Trone officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Christmas fund at Prairieview Care Center in Lewistown.
