Betty L. Williams, 79, of Lewistown, formerly of Vermont, died at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton.
She was born July 1, 1921, in Canton, a daughter of Francis and Cora Mae Fouts Westerfield. She married Francis L. Williams on Oct. 12, 1937, in Kahoka, Mo. He died July 18, 1986.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Gary; one stepdaughter, Philena; four brothers; and three sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Mickey (and Susan) of Lewistown and Francis of Vermont; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Russell (and Beverly) Westerfield of Canton.
She was a homemaker.
Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery in Astoria.
