BERNICE L. (LAWVER) WESTPHALL

Bernice Westphall

Bernice L. Westphall, 70, of Seminole, Fla., formerly of Lewistown, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Fla.

She was born April 5, 1929, in Canton, a daughter of Clyde D. and Loretta Burgess Lawver. She married Gene H. Westphall on June 8, 1946, in Palmyra, Mo. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Donald (and Teri) of Locust Grove, Ga.; one daughter, Kathy McCleskey of Locust Grove; four half brothers, Robert Lawver of Aurora, Colo., Jack Lawver of Sioux City, Ariz., Wayne Lawver of Boston and Dewayne Lawver of Astoria; two half sisters, Juanita Waters and Jane Lawver, both of Aurora, Colo.; and six grandchildren.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 241, and the American Legion Post 273 Auxiliary, both in Madeira Beach, Fla.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jon Sims officiating. There will be no visitation. Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners' Hospitals for Children.
