Betty I. Walton, 51, of Astoria died at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 1995, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born Nov. 1, 1943, in Astoria, a daughter of William and Katie Hamm Royer. She married Clifford Walton on July 19, 1981, in Astoria. He survives.
Also surviving are her father of Astoria; one son, Michael at home; one sister, Mary Schisler of Astoria; and one half brother, Wilford Beck of Astoria.
Her mother and one half sister preceded her in death.
She was a carrier for the Macomb Journal and the McDonough County Business News. She was a member of Astoria Christian Church. She volunteered for the South Fulton Senior Citizens Center.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
