Goldie M. Wise, 93, of Rushville died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 1989, at the Myers Convalescent and Skilled Nursing Center in Beardstown.
She was born Dec. 11, 1896, at Naples, Ill., the daughter of James and Maggie Jackson Neal. She married John Wise on Aug. 21, 1927, at Sidney, Iowa. He died in 1987.
She was a member of the Church of Christ at Astoria.
Surviving are four sons, Dean Wise, Don Wise, and Gene Wise, all of Rushville, and Dale Wise of El Paso; one step-daughter, Romna Griffet of Champaign; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Rushville Cemetery.
